The utility of this fabric is the absolute naturalness, more evident in the prominence weft of the linen. The maintenance is as simple as that of any other shower textile material: machine washable up to 40 degrees, easy to dry and simple to ironing  on the not resined side with a maximum temperature of 100 degrees.

Consumerism and waste

To someone it could seem unbecoming and ridiculous that a store draws the topic of the consumerism, but our philosophy wants to go beyond

These days people buy more than really is needed, not really necessity or for pleasure, but for what an object represents, because it is a status symbol. Objects have become so invasive in our life to replace progressively to replace affections and human relations, to soothe insecurities, giving confirmations and feelings of being able and superiority. In the meantime our burn-up level erodes natural reserves of the planet and causes the risk for life on Earth for the future generations. The assets, that were once broken but could be repaired, are now replaced because economically it suits more.

Perhaps consumerism is a phenomenon born in the mature development of the western, sceptical, individualistic civilization, deprived of ideals and certainties. It’s a question of moderating or checking it and possibly finding a remedy for the disasters that it is producing. Already today the spread of a new sensibility is perceived: building more in the forefront orients itself towards bio-compatible materials, industry renews by reaching alternative energy forms like wind, water and solar. The knowledge that water, air and ground are precious resources, to respect and protect, is making a beneficially road a bit anywhere.

Continuing to acquire assets that last a few years or even a season, because fashion, that is imposing us or because the low price invites us to make it, what is and always will be, with disadvantage and stupid.

Often in fact, behind low prices insufficient quality is hidden, exploitation and lack of respect for the environment. The fact about the law under our eyes, but blind for the craving for buying pretending not to see. Convinced to have made a good transaction, we find again between the hands, a head that after little washings loses colour, softness or even becomes nearly unusable.

And therefore?

Our philosophy is also this: to sell a product that will last for many years, elegant classic and, with lines and colours without time, realized with woven natural with all respect for the environment.

The ecological detergents

When we talk about detergents, unfortunately who suffers the most, is the environment. Till a few years ago, to do the laundry we used ash, wrapped up in a piece of cotton, that served as a filter in order not to disperse and not to immerse in the water together with the washing heads. Sometimes they also add some leafs in order to give it a little perfume.

The industrial progress of the last century and the consequent economic development have caused a remarkable increase in one of the most precious assets: w a t e r.

Today’s detergents contain chemical components that, if present in high concentration, can be harmful for human health and the delicate balances of our ecosystem. Since many years companies manufacturers of ecological detergents have searched to obtain effective products, but not noxious for the environment; the result is that the ecological detergents have the same effectiveness of those of petrochemical origin and the differences are indeed amazing. The active tension of the ecological detergents, are obtained from palm and coconut oil and replace the active tension derived from the oil. The microelements, essential oils, replace the synthetic scents, cause of many allergies.

It is necessary to consider that a relation exists, scientifically tried, between using detergents and the health of the skin. It is often stretched to ignore that the detergents remain legacies, although the rinsing, the washing heads, in order then to emit their aggressiveness no more on the dirt, but on the skin.

Therefore we have thought to test some ecological detergents on our heads in linen. The result surprised us. The washed heads were soft and cleaned up. The perfume was absolutely delicate and neutral. Only a small amount is necessary to obtain a good yield. We invite You to read this exhausting guide that explains you the differences between these detergents and those of common use. It will make you think on the fact that using some sagacity must be sufficient. in the gestures that appear daily, in order to improve and to protect our environment that encircles us. www.officinanaturae.com/guide/biodizionario.htm

The future is bio

Recently the exchange of Pitti Filati has been closed, where the dominant theme was the new tendency in ecological luxury.

Everything begins with the special cultivation of the material before obtaining the thread: organic cotton, stinging nettle, soy, broom, corn, hemp, bamboo, bio linen, and that we meet the most: fibres of milk.

The process of dyeing is completely natural and uses only elements like berries ( bilberry, nuts, chestnuts ) roots, leafs and flowers (marigold, hollyhock.. ), species ( liquorice ) and many other products that you can find in nature. The dyeings do not content chemical additives and have good characteristics in resistance and durability in washing and against light.

This new trend,  provided with a careful ‘Made in Italy’, contains a new concept of luxury, made of new textures, soft, with delicate colours and precious harmony like nature itself.

But also out of respect for humankind and nature that surrounds him.

Thinking of our own healthiness defending skin allergies and permitting to breathe in syntonizing with nature.
